Looking forward to supporting storyteller Ariane Hajidas tomorrow evening at the Hastings Arts Forum (36 Marina St Leonard’s on Sea TN38 OBU) with a selection of songs to accompany the stories of Rebel Girls and Fearless Women!

It’s a charity fundraiser for the The Penny Beale Memorial Fund and it’s part of the Hastings Fringe Festival. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. Entry by donation. I’m on at 9pm singing songs that I’ve written about remarkable women, the perils of topless sunbathing and the importance of self esteem. Copies of my CD’s Sweet Precious Time and Spirit of the Wind will be available to purchase on the night at special discount prices!

I’m looking forward to singing later tonight at the Lantern Society. It’s a monthly candlelit acoustic club run by Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou at The Printworks (14 Claremont America Ground, Hastings TN34 1HA). The evening starts at 7.30pm and is only £3 to get in, so a lovely affordable night out to hear some great music. It’ll be my first time so I’ll let you know how the evening went if you can’t make it. I’ll be singing a mixture of both my own songs and those by other songwriters. Hope to see some of you there later!
I will be performing my one woman show: “Give Me The Moonlight, Give Me The Girl” this Friday September 22nd at The Printworks in Hastings at 8.30pm and is part of the Hastings Fringe Festival. It’s a musical celebration of my love, lust and longing for women – from the USA to the Greek island of Lesbos and back again on a roller-coaster between laughter and tears. All served up with original songs and a helping of humour! Tickets are £7 and £5. The Printworks is next to the old Library (soon to be “new” library) at 14 Claremont. For more details ring 07984 927271 See you there!
I’ve just learned that my show has been accepted for the Hastings Fringe Festival running throughout September later this year. So if you missed it the first time round you’ll have another chance to see it locally before I take it on tour! Watch this space….
On Friday March 10th this year I took part in Performers Coming Together – The Revue Show at the popular Hastings venue The Beacon along with Mike Hatchard, Sally Holloway, Sheila Hyde and Rupert Blunderbus.
